The Nautilus Ellipticals are manufactured by the same people who engineered the world-famous Bowflex Home Gym. There is no single Nautilus Elliptical Machine; it comes in several versions which vary in price, intricacy of design and in the levels of technology. A Nautilus Elliptical Machine is also significantly more expensive than the machines of most other manufacturers, so only those who are very serious about getting into their best shape possible should make the investment into it. But as every person's fitness needs and goals are different, it helps to take a closer look at the different variations of the Nautilus Elliptical Machine.
A Nautilus NE 2000 Elliptical would be a superior fitness investment. It costs close to $2,400 and comes equipped with a program to monitor heart rate and a computerized display of important details such as the number of calories burned per workout. The Nautilus NE 3000 Elliptical is a slight improvement upon the 2000 Elliptical. For about $400 more, the consumer gets all of the features of the 2000, plus a special LED display with seven preprogrammed workouts. It also includes a Remote Operation Control (ROC) system, a hands-free method of changing the levels of intensity during a workout. Either Nautilus Elliptical Machine is a good choice for an elliptical – pricey, but it should last for a while and provide the owner with one extensive workout after another.
A Pro Series Nautilus Elliptical Machine, on the other hand, would be almost a luxury. It is larger and heavier than either the 2000 or 3000 Nautilus Ellipticals, and costs considerably more – around $3,300 for the EV716 and almost $3,800 for the EV718. The Pro Series Nautilus Elliptical Machine has the My Stride System feature, which enables the machine to so comfortably match an individual's stride it is virtually undetectable. It is also designed to be more compact despite its size, and has 11 different preprogrammed workouts. Both of these impressive versions of the Nautilus Elliptical Machine have an electromagnetic eddy current combined with a resistance mechanism to substantially reduce friction. Each also comes with a fitness diary into which up to five separate individuals can log their workout details. So what makes the EV718 cost more? It is a LCD and a touch-sensitive keypad display.
The complicated technological amenities of the Nautilus Elliptical Machine makes it as good for the mind as it is for the body. It is less of a hassle, too – no need to memorize or write down how many hours one exercises or how many calories burned. The Nautilus Elliptical Machine takes care of all of those details. Considering our society's rampant obesity epidemic and its disturbing and worrisome predilection for unhealthy foods, having a Nautilus Elliptical Machine in one's home fitness center can be a type of insurance against ill health in the future.
